Help me evolve!
It is said that to be young and conservative evidences an absence of heart but that to be old and liberal lays bare a lack of intelligence. While absent nuance, this aphorism is set upon a solid foundation – we each evolve. The challenge is in ensuring that we evolve in the right manner.
The aim of this site is to meet that challenge by seeking (and hopefully offering) support for this evolution. The postings here are intended to be intelligent, balanced, nuanced and informed – and to that end I seek thoughtful input from others. Topics will be periodically posted reflecting my current understanding and opinion and will then be updated as these evolve – whether they be strengthened or shaken. Your role is to share well-considered thoughts and balanced data, and I can then improve each topic’s posting as my thinking evolves.
I am no expert in any of these topics, and the postings will reflect my layperson’s knowledge and views.
All intelligent postings welcome, including those opposed to my current thinking on a topic. Shrill, biased and thoughtless posts will be disregarded and deleted.
